The Mom-e Club Gives Valley Mom Entrepreneurs a Place to Network, Learn, and Grow

In 2009, Mom-e Club Founder Tisha Pelletier had a lot on her plate. She was running two of her own businesses – Simply Put Marketing and Details Event Management – in addition to working on a writing articles about events and entrepreneurship. That would be enough for most people, but Pelletier had another challenge: raising her child.

Managing this delicate balance between being a mother and an entrepreneur prompted Pelletier to found an organization for Mom Entrepreneurs in March 2009 that later evolved into the Mom-e Club. Since its beginnings as a “monthly networking group for mom entrepreneurs in Arizona,” the “club” has evolved into a full-blown organization with chapters in 11 Valley cities, including Ahwatukee, Queen Creek, Gilbert, and North Scottsdale.

In addition to providing monthly networking events across the Valley, the Mom-e Club also puts together monthly webinars, e-newsletters, resources, and more for its members.

Each year Pelletier also puts together a large-scale public event called the “Mom Entrepreneur Celebration.” This year’s event was held last week, the Saturday before Mother’s Day,at the Phoenix Hilton and featured workshops from notable Valley Entrepreneurs and a dinner and awards ceremony to honor Mom Entrepreneurs.

As the website states, the Mom e-Club is a place for mom entrepreneurs to “gather together for education, support, encouragement, business relationships, heck, even therapy sometimes, from other moms in their shoes that simply ‘get it.’”

This light-hearted, supportive approach to entrepreneurship and motherhood is very characteristic of the organization and its members, and makes it a great place to become network and learn.

    Hi Heidi,

Thanks for the article. Slight correction. I have one kiddo so far with one on the way this December. Don’t want to give myself that much credit for juggling “two” kiddos, although all of my businesses are like kiddos to me. Look forward to meeting you one of these days and thanks for all of your support! 🙂

    Dear Tisha,

Thank you for the correction! I just changed it. I’m looking forward to meet you as well, and I just wanted to say congratulations on your recent event!
