One weekend.  Fifty four hours.  Three thousand two hundred forty minutes.  What can be accomplished?  Actually, quite a bit.  You may have heard of Startup Weekends before.  These are the weekend events where a group of aspiring entrepreneurs get together and give a startup idea a test drive.  This international effort comes with some impressive stats too.  According to the Startup Weekend site, 2011 had over 400 events in 100 countries during 2011.  Impressive?  How about “Over 36% of Startup Weekend startups are still going strong after 3 months and  Roughly 80% of participants plan on continuing working with their team or startup after the weekend”.

Are you interested?  Well, then mark your calendar.  Chandler will host a Startup Weekend July 27 – 29.  Attendees are invited to pitch their business ideas and then receive feedback from the group.  The top ideas (as determined by popular vote) continue their journey through the weekend with the teams creating a business plan, customer development and a minimum viable product.  Sunday evening ends the event with the presentations of these startups to a panel of experts.

Check out Startup Weekend Chandler’s site now and register!  Pricing ranges from $50 for developers, designers and beta testers to $99 for non-technical attendees.

Can’t make this event?  Mark your calendar for  Startup Weekend Northern Arizona August 10-12 and Startup Weekend Tucson coming September 7-9.
